For this special edition of Essens, we collected and disassembled old suitcases, including pre-owned suitcases that customers brought to our stores. After disassembly, the shells are shredded and mixed with other post-consumer recycled content to create the new suitcase shells. The total share of recycled materials in the outer shells is at least 80% (by weight).**

Pull-Handle
The bright orange pull-handle, incorporating at least 80% recycled materials (by weight), adds an eye-catching element to your suitcase.**
Exterior Shell
The outer shell is made with at least 35% pre-owned recycled suitcases, in addition to recycled post-consumer waste, bringing the total share of recycled materials to at least 80% of the outer shells (by weight).**
Interior Lining
The interior lining of the suitcase features a vibrant orange color and is crafted from 100% recycled PET by weight.

Proxis™ Circular marks a milestone for Samsonite as it’s our first suitcase incorporating bio-circular materials. The suitcase shells are produced using the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) mass balance approach, repurposing used cooking oil that is processed and converted into polymers to create the sheets for the shells.
Next to that, we made significant efforts to maximize the use of recycled materials in other components of the suitcase.
Altogether, the Proxis™ Circular suitcase has an impressive total share of 65% bio-circular and recycled materials.*
